Sometimes the first time you click on the Toolbars the MuvEnum Address Bar will not be shown in the list.  Just click off of the screen and then right-click on the taskbar and click Toolbars again to see if it shows up (some machines take until the 2nd showing of the Toolbars to show the MuvEnum Address Bar).

If during the installation of the MuvEnum Address Bar, the .NET Framework 2.0 was not installed, the address bar will not run.  Please re-run the installer and make sure you install the .NET Framework 2.0 when asked.

If that does not resolve the issue:

You may need to repair your .NET installation by doing the following:

  • Click on your "Start Menu".
  • Click on "Control Panel".
  • Double-click on "Add/Remove Programs" on Windows XP or "Programs and Features" on Windows Vista.
  • If "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1)" is listed click on it and then click on "Change/Remove" on Windows XP or "Uninstall/Change" on Windows Vista.  On the next window, make sure "Repair" is selected and click "Next".
  • If "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1)" was not listed, and "Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework (SP1 or SP2)" is listed click on it and then click on"Change/Remove" on Windows XP or "Uninstall/Change" on Windows Vista.  On the next window, make sure "Repair" is selected and click "Next".
  • This should repair your installation of the .NET Framework.
  • Now, restart your computer and try enabling the MuvEnum Address Bar.  If it still does not load, please re-run the MuvEnum Address Bar installer.

If that still does not resolve the issue, you can try the following to re-register the MuvEnum Address Bar as a Windows Toolbar:

On Windows Vista, 2008, and 7:

  1. Click the Start Button.
  2. Type "cmd" without quotes.
  3. When "CMD Shell" shows up near the top, right-click on it and choose Run as administrator.
  4. Go to the section labeled For all operating systems.
On Windows XP, 2000, and 2003:
  1. Click the Start Button.
  2. Click on Run.
  3. Type "cmd" without quotes and hit enter.
  4. Go to the section labeled For all operating systems.

For all operating systems:

  2.
  3. If using a 32-bit version of Windows:
  4.      Type the following and hit enter: cd c:\program files\muvenum\addressbar\
  5.      Then type the following and hit enter: RegisterExtensionDotNet20_x86.exe -i MuvEnumAddressBar_x86.dll
  6.      Finally type the following and hit enter: RegisterExtensionDotNet20_x86.exe -i BandObjectLib.dll
