I am evaluating The Album Art Sleuth prior to purchase. It looks promising so far. However, I would like to see support for other search engines like the following:

http://www.allcdcovers.com
http://www.cdcovers.cc
http://www.mega-search.net

There are many others available. The ones above I use frequently.

I have quite a few older, more obscure albums for which The Album Art Sleuth v1.1.1.0 trial version does not find cover art. However, I am able to manually find it at one or more of the above sources. If The Album Art Sleuth could search and retrieve from those as well, I would certainly purchase a license for it!
Thank you for your time!

Michael

We're looking into adding support for more album art search engines.

Thank you for the suggestion and for the information about the sources you use. It will be helpful in adding support for more sources.

Hi John,

As Muvundercover is a .Net application, one of the best options might be allowing the development of new providers by the community. A very good example I am currently using is TVIXie (http://www.tvixie.com).

As soon as Muvundercover will support high quality album arts search engines like allcdcovers and offer an auto resize feature (my album arts are 500x500), you will get a new registered user.

Thanks.

We're testing a new release now that has the resize settings available. Please take a look at the following screenshot and let me know if you see any missing resize options you think are essential:

In our current test we've added support for albumartexchange and discogs. We'll definitely look at allcdcovers (we've requested an api key but have not heard anything back from them yet).

Thanks,

Hi John,

Good news. You should add a quality setting.

Thanks.

Hi John,

I am now an happy registered user of MuvUnder Cover because of the improvements of the lastest version. Did you have any news regarding the support of high quality images sources like allcdcovers? Because the current sources do not provide high quality covers for some *underground* music genres.

Thanks.

We added support for allcdcovers in one of our beta versions but removed it because they require a captcha to be filled out for every 5 album covers downloaded. This didn't fit with the design of our software. In this case, you could open to the album cover page on allcdcovers and copy and paste the image onto the album in MuvUnder Cover to add the artwork for those few missing albums. If they ever remove the captcha we'd be more than happy to add support for their service (since we already wrote the code for it).

Thanks,
