John,
The address bar doesn't seem to retain last used/typed items; I presume the drop-down is supposed to show these but clicking it always reveals nothing? Only the last typed item is visable in the textbox.
Is this a bug or has the feature not been implemented?
Pete

We released an update yesterday that now shows the history of typed urls (provided by Windows that you type in IE or explorer or the run command). You can find it at http://www.systemsabuse.com/2007/12/27/ ... go-missing

It is v1.3.1.0.

Thanks,

John,
Even with this update there are no recent items retained in the dropdown except an http forward to msn - which was there from the start.
This is true for any type of entry url local file or unc path.
Is there something else to be enabled? Or is there a conflict with the old version - I did uninstall and reboot before installing new version.

I'm started to use Version 1.3.1.0. few minutes ago.

Keep up good work :) MS sucks because removed address bar.

Can you implement remebering list of recent typed commands, i.e. cmd /k, ping -t ipaddress etc. and not only url's ?

Best regards

As many others have said, many thanks for coming up with this replacement, and curses on Bill Gates. While the bar does pick up the history of addresses entered in the main IE address bar (after a restart), it would be very convenient if it retained the addresses typed into itself, as the MS address bar used to do. If it could be made to do that it wouldn't necessarily have to pick up addresses from the main window address bar as well.
On a different tack, the buttons at the right of the bar seem quite faint, but I guess I can cope with that. :)
Ian.

You are correct. Right now it pulls the history from windows explorer and internet explorer. I will look into adding support for adding those typed into the address bar to the history as well. The little dot for the options dialog was meant to be small as to not waste space. I tried a context menu but that didn't work well.

Thanks,

These issues have been corrected in v2.1.0.0.
