Hi- early this AM after updating MS XP Home I downloaded your Address Bar program (seemed to be the latest version) and after turning off or disabling all active programs I installed it. During install I got this error message twice- once about midway and once towards the end:
RegisterExtensionDotNet20_x86.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Afterward the address bar isn't available and the program isn't running (per the Task Manager). After reading previous postings I uninstalled the program, got a fresh download and tried again, this time putting the installer on my machine instead of running it immediately. Still the double error message and still no address bar.

Is there a fix for this?
My system info follows. Thanks for the time, Eileen~

We have had one other user report this issue. The extension requires that the program that is encountering an error works. This is why you are not seeing the option to show it.

Can you try installing an older version to see if you have the same issue and let me know the results?

I am also having the same issue, and tried the lower version as well with no luck.

This is on a clean build machine, brand new install of Windows XP Pro, installed SP3, Office 2007, AVG, AutoCad.

Intell Core 2 Duo (E8600) proc, 2GB Ram.

I am also getting a "Trojan" false / positive? from AVG, but install fails both with AVG enabled or disabled.

Thanks

Please update AVG to use the latest virus definitions and make sure that you don't have any files in your temporary folder that may have trojans. Since our installer extracts to the Temp folder, if a file exists in that folder that may contain a trojan or other issue, it could possibly infect our installation files. Also please update to the newest version of the MuvEnum Address Bar, http://www.muvenum.com/downloads/ and let me know if you still have issues.
