I get this error message when recording:

"Could not setup the number of VAC cables. Please try uninstalling and reinstalling MuvAudio2."

So of course I uninstalled and reinstalled, but still continue to get this message. Also, the recommended Maximum Recording Speed is 1x, and only one recording session is ever used - the others are labeled "Not in Use". On the other machine where I use MuvAudio, which is a little older and less CPU, RAM, etc., MuvAudio works great at the recommended 4x and uses 6 simultaneous sessions. I'm assuming the low recording speed and single session are related to the error message? Any ideas how to resolve this?

MuvAudio Version: 2.9.6.6
Windows Version: XP Pro, SP 2
.Net 2.0, SP 1
Windows Media Player 11

Thanks!

In case someone else encounters the same problem, here was my resolution:

My problem seems to have been that the driver for the SM Bus Controller device was not properly installed (yellow exclamation in Device Manager). I found the driver at Intel.com by searching for "INFINST_AUTOL.EXE". There are English and Multi-language versions, so make sure you download the appropriate one. Install and reboot.

MJ,

Thanks for taking the time to create an answer response. It's always nice to have the answer to problems instead of just the questions and a "NM, I figured it out", response.

Thanks,
